What counts as an answer

One answer is one popup in which a shopper picks a question and gets its answer, or sends a question of their own. It counts once, even if the shopper then opens the other questions. Showing the popup, closing it and opening the small bar do not count.

To keep the count fair, the same IP address counts at most three times a day for one store, and an answer given less than a second after the popup appears is not counted. Visits from the theme editor and from preview links are not counted, and neither are shoppers the store's Shopify privacy settings do not let BOOX measure.

The month

The month is the calendar month in your store's time zone. The count starts again on the 1st, at midnight store time.

When you reach 50 answers

On the Starter plan, BOOX shows this month's count at the top of the app from the start of the month, and from 30 answers it becomes a warning. At 50, the popup stops appearing in your store until the 1st of the next month, or until you upgrade to Pro. Your questions, settings and data stay as they are.

Premium and fair use

Premium has no answer limit. To keep the service stable, BOOX records up to 20,000 popups a day (by UTC, not your store's clock) per store, within a daily limit shared by the whole service. Past that, shoppers still see the popup as usual, and only the rest of that day's popups are not recorded. A regular store is far below that number.

Free trial

Premium includes a free trial of up to 14 days (a store that has already used trial days gets the days it has left). Shopify handles the sign-up and the billing, and the charge appears on your Shopify invoice.
